Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

Plans from $2,998/month. Websites from $3,500. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus GST/HST for your province. The pricing page lists every plan and package.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. There is no lock-in. You'll see notice periods and every other term in your written proposal, before anything is signed.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. For seven days we look at your marketing, your website's performance, your search visibility and the installers you compete with. No credit card is needed.

How quickly will I see results?

Paid search can produce enquiries within weeks. Program landing pages often help within the first month or two. SEO usually shows meaningful growth in six to twelve months.

We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Ask what was measured. We track calls, texts and emails by source from day one, report monthly in plain language, and build around the heat pump programs you actually sell. If it isn't working, there is no lock-in.

Who owns the website and the ad accounts?

Ownership of your domain, website, content and ad accounts is set out in writing in your proposal. Raise any concerns during the free trial and we will address them before you sign.

Can you promise leads or rankings?

No. Nobody can honestly promise them. We show named results from our HVAC work and measure yours openly.

What reports will I get?

Reports arrive monthly on Starter and weekly on Growth; Elite adds a live dashboard and reporting shaped to you. Each one shows enquiries by source, spend and the changes we made.

Are you an HVAC contractor?

No. HeatPumpNews.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service for heat pump and HVAC companies in Canada. We do not install, repair or service equipment.

Can you tell me whether a customer qualifies for a rebate?

No. Only the program administrator decides eligibility. We explain published rules on your pages and send homeowners to the administrator to confirm.

Do you give licensing or code advice?

No. We link regulators such as TSSA, Technical Safety BC and the RBQ for reference, but compliance questions belong with them or a qualified professional.

Where do your news stories come from?

From primary sources we load ourselves: program guides, government releases, utility pages and standards documents. Each story carries its source's date.

Do you work in French?

French content for Quebec and New Brunswick can be scoped in your proposal. Ask during the free trial.

Do you work with installers outside BC?

Yes. We are based in Vancouver and work with installers in every province and territory.

Price, trial and contracts

The short answer: plans from $2,998/month, websites from $3,500, a 7-day free trial and no lock-in.

Prices are in Canadian dollars and Canadian clients add GST or HST by province (GST and QST in Quebec). The trial covers an audit, a website check, an SEO analysis and competitor benchmarking, without a credit card. Terms such as notice periods and how ad spend is billed are confirmed in writing in your proposal. Full details are on the pricing page.

A quick way to judge value: divide the monthly plan, including GST/HST, by your average gross margin per heat pump job. That is the number of extra jobs a month the plan needs to produce to break even.

Results and reporting

We measure enquiries and booked estimates, not vanity numbers.

Every engagement tracks calls, texts and emails by source. Reporting frequency depends on the plan: monthly on Starter, weekly on Growth, and a real-time dashboard on Elite. Our named results from HVAC work, including CanroHeat.ca at 250% lead growth, are on the results page. We never promise rankings or leads.

Working with us

Senior-led, by call, text or email, from Vancouver.

Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads the work, with 17+ years in digital marketing and 150+ live HVAC websites built. We are part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. We are not an HVAC contractor; we market and advise installers. Read more about us, or see how to reach us on the contact page.

Rebates, regulators and the newsroom

We report program rules; we don't decide eligibility or give compliance advice.

Our newsroom reports heat pump programs and standards from primary sources, with real dates and labelled analysis. When we write program pages for your site, we explain the published rules and point homeowners to the administrator. Regulators are linked for reference only. If you spot a program change we haven't covered, send us the official link.

Programs and timing

Program calendars shape when marketing pays off, so plan around them.

Heat pump programs in Canada open, close and change terms through the year. Ontario's Home Renovation Savings requires pre-approval before installation; New Brunswick's oil-to-heat-pump advances stopped taking new households on June 30, 2026; two Manitoba bonuses end on March 31, 2027. A campaign launched a month before a deadline earns far more than the same campaign launched the week after. We keep a calendar of the programs each client sells and adjust pages and ads as dates approach. If you sell in more than one province, each one gets its own calendar, because their programs rarely move together.

Switching from another agency

The move is usually simpler than owners expect.

  1. List what you have. Domain, hosting, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, analytics and call tracking, and who holds the logins for each.
  2. Ask for access, not files. Most accounts can be shared with a new manager without being rebuilt.
  3. Keep what works. If a page or campaign is producing calls, we leave it alone until we have data to beat it.
  4. Set a baseline. We record your current monthly enquiries by source so the change can be measured fairly.

During the free trial we will tell you honestly whether a switch is worth it.

Services and fit

Most installers start with one or two services.

If homeowners ask about rebates you don't explain online, start with program landing pages. If your site is the bottleneck, start with installer websites. If you need calls this season, start with Google Ads. The services overview compares all four.
