HeatPumpNews.ca exists because heat pump installers in Canada are selling into a market that is reshaped by programs every few months. We report those changes from primary sources, explain what they mean for an installation business, and help installers market themselves around them. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We do not install, repair or service heat pumps, and we never present ourselves as a contractor.
The company
The short answer: a Canadian newsroom and marketing service, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, and part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group.
Our operator is Sedighi.ca, the consulting company Ali Sedighi runs for growth, marketing and technology; HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca are among its brands. It sits within the HVAC.Agency family, which handles digital marketing for HVAC and heating companies. Its sister firm, SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone), advises Canadian companies on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration; Ali founded it and is its Founder & Managing Partner.
We serve installers in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. Our coverage pages explain how heat pump programs and buyers differ across them.

How the newsroom works
Primary sources, real dates and a hard line between fact and opinion.
- We open the source. A program guide, a government release, a utility's terms or a standards memo. If we cannot load it, we do not report it.
- We date everything. Stories carry their source's date; amounts are stated "as of" the day we checked.
- We summarise in our own words. No pasted releases, no reproduced quotes.
- We label analysis. Our view of what a change means for installers sits under its own heading.
- We correct openly. If a program changes after publication, we update the story and the date.
You can see the approach in our report on NRCan's cold-climate product lists and across the newsroom.
How we work with installers
Senior-led, measured by enquiries, and without lock-in.
- Start with a free look. For seven days, at no charge and without a credit card, we review your marketing, website speed, search presence and the installers you compete with.
- Agree what success means. Calls, texts and emails from homeowners in your towns, and the estimates they become.
- Build around programs you can sell. Program pages, search and ads that follow the rebate calendar. See our services.
- Report plainly. Monthly reports in plain language, including what didn't work.
- No lock-in. If it isn't working for you, you can leave.
Contract terms such as ownership of accounts and notice periods are confirmed in writing in your proposal.
Why a newsroom and an agency under one roof
Because the reporting makes the marketing more accurate, and the marketing tells us which news matters.
When we build a rebate page for an installer in Winnipeg or Moncton, we have to read the program guide line by line anyway. Publishing that reading as a dated story helps every installer, including those who never hire us. In return, the questions clients ask us each week, such as whether a model is on NRCan's list or when an intake closes, decide which stories we chase next. The two jobs share one rule: say only what the source supports, and say when you checked it.
What we will not do
Some lines matter more in a newsroom than in an agency.
- We will not publish invented news, numbers or quotes.
- We will not promise rankings, leads or rebate approvals.
- We will not give engineering, code-compliance or licensing advice; we link the regulator instead.
- We will not write reviews or customer quotes on anyone's behalf.
To talk about your marketing, read pricing and then call, text or email us through the contact page.
